I put this system on a 2010 Road King. Due to the fact my handlebars and controls are all chromed out and I didn't want to hide it. I bent the speaker mounts and mounted the speakers to my windshield bracket. The amp/radio/ipod are hidden inside the small pouch located in the middle of the windshield. I have the kind of bag Harley makes with a turn latch so I use a small silver luggage lock to keep it safe. The remote is on a small piece of velcro on my left speaker so I don't have to take my throttle hand and reach across to change volumn etc. It sounds great, plays great and passenger can hear as well. The speakers hold their own even with the Harley shake at stoplights. Would buy again |

So much for so little I truly am amazed at the sound from this unit. I commute on my bike and also go on trips and ride in the mountains . It is great to have my tunes along.I used industrial strenth velcro to attach the radio to my windshield whem it rains I just unhook the wires and put it in my saddlebags. I put a small piece of velcro on my tank for my mp3 player and bought a curly cord to hook it up to the Shark radio, I used plastic wire conduits from the auto parts store to hide the speaker wire that I ran down my cables the whole thing really looks great and the sound is amazing. |

I installed my set today on my VTX 1300C and can't even describe how pleased I am. Only trick was figuring out how to mount it. It does not come with complete mounting tools (since it is meant to install on so many different things in different ways, I can understand why). I found some conduit clamps at OSH Hardware to fit my bars (mine are 3/4"), and bolted the speakers with the bracket included using 1/4" x 1/2" nut and bolt. Ran the wires down the fork a bit, under the tank and under the seat, using zip ties and electrical tape to keep them secure and concealed. Speakers connect to the 100watt amp which I mounted to the side of my tool box, keeping it less visible but still accessible with a free hand. Power runs to the battery (+ and -). I put a industrial strength velcro mount on the tank to hold my IPOD so I can take it off and on. I am now going to ride three hours to go get laundry detergent! Buy these! |

Not wanting to shell out $5OO for a Hondaline stereo, I looked for alternatives. After many weeks searching eBay and other on-line retailers, I was directed to this product - And happily so!
After reading all the reviews and watching the videos, I decided to take a shot at this little system. I ordered on a Wednesday and received it on Friday! Once in my hands, I couldn't wait to get it installed. Total time to install on my Honda 750 Spirit was about 2 hours. I am not the most mechanically inclined person you will meet, but stuck with it. Really, the install was not difficult, just time consuming. I mounted the speakers on my mirror brackets.I installed the amp inside the toolbox area (Had to do a little cutting to make room) and then ran the speakers wires under my tank bib because I didn't want to remove the fuel tank. Hooking up the unit is as simple as any plug and play gets. Once everything was in place and I got my bike back together, the moment of truth was at hand.
Amazed. That is exactly what I was. How could such a small unit produce such great sound? As stated by previous reviewers, even at 70 MPH with loud pipes cackling, you can hear this unit loud and clear. A good sign was when cruising at 75 on the freeway, my wife asked me to turn it down! I use a small Sansa Clip as my MP3 player, and it does a great job. I Velcro the player to my tank bib so when I leave my bike, I just unplug the Sansa and stick it in my pocket for safe keeping.
Other than a lack of base, this unit has exceeded my expectations, and rarely does that happen. I have recommended this to my friends and think my money was well spent. |

I too looked at this reveiw before purchasing mine,. Best bang of the buck, more than enough for any bike. LOVE IT, could not have spent my money any wiser. My mp3 player works with it well. 4gigs of music and no repeats. I have mine on a Susuki c50, big bike, mounted with velcro. Quick on & off. Big sound , even with helmet on. Hell, my gps even plugs into it and gives directions on the speakers. LOVE IT! |

I bought the Shark 100w cycle stereo, and love it. It is loud enough to hear great tunes even while doing about 65 mph. I own a Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Custom, and I must admit it was hard to find a place to fit the actual unit without cutting away parts under the seat. I finally just decided to zip tie it to my front bar by the radiator. The amp is not waterproof, so I will be restricted to riding only on dry days :). The sound is awesome for 100 watts, I was thinking about a 250w, but this is more than efficient. I wear a full face helmet, and I can still hear the tunage. Now be forewarned that if you buy the chrome set, you may be blinded by the sun depending on where you put the speakers, so be aware of that fact.... I have to paint the face plates to stop the reflection of the blinding sun. |

...as long as you don't run loud pipes. System installed in less than an hour, sounds good whether on FM or being fed from my iPhone. Wife complains at highway speads and w/the loud pipes, she just hear's the base line and Charlie Brown's teacher...wah wah wah wwaaahhh www ahh.. GO WITH THE BLACK THOUGH!!!! I was blown away by the sound of this unit. At 70mph on the Highway it is clear as a bell. you can turn it up to 30 I use cotton in my ears because of the wind and I run it on about 22. I have purchased two of these units and will buying another for my son-in-law today. I have a friend who spent over $500 for a different unit and the shark makes his look like a cheap toy. I love this and if I had more bikes I would put one on every single one of them. |

I was genuinely surprised as to the delivery, the contents of the system. Good quality at a great price. I was concerned about the amp not being waterproof so I really took care to make a enclosure that would remedy that problem. I got the idea from another review and I took it to another level. The speakers sound awesome at all speeds. My bike is loud and I had no problem with the clarity. I need to sync the treble and bass to what sounds best overall – a nice little feature.
My install I used two 1" chrome clamps for the speakers from Harley #50904-85T (no logos) $8.95 each. I used a Kuryakyn universal mount #1421 (I got a wicked good deal from my Kaw dealer on it} I purchased an ABS project enclosure from Radio Shack 6 x 4 x 2" high (cheap). It has an aluminum base #270-1806. I mounted the amp to the Kuryakyn bracket and the bases of the ABS enclosure. I made some cutouts in the front and back of the upper ABS enclosure. This allows access to the front and rear for wiring. I covered the enclosure with heavy grade black marine vinyl

I was really suprised at the quality of this system when I recieved it. I bought a cheap windshield bag from Jafrum and put the amp and all the wires inside. I also mounted my IPOD and the remote to the outside of the windshield bag with velcro. I made a quick disconnect on the out side of the bag and mounted the speakers and the bag to my switchblade windshield. Now I can just unplug the power and pop the windshield off so that i can take the whole system off in seconds. I'll send pics and a video later. |

well well well how i was surprised at how great this system works and sounds .i have it installed on my Honda Shadow ACE tourer and even with my vance & hines exhaust i can still hear it quite clearly , and that's not at full volume .

I bought this hooked it up and it sounds great. i have my sirus radio running through it and it works well. I am worried however about the amp and the remote I do alot of riding and get caught in the rain alot. I have the amp mounted on my windsheild and the remote on my tank. over all it is a great addition to my bike. |

I bought this (in chrome) for my Kawasaki Nomad. I had to provide the mounts and bolts, but it was worth it. I rode 70 mph on a toll road, today, and the system was MORE than loud enough. The sound is good, and I've already received compliments on the appearance. |

I bought a pristine 1981 GL500I Silverwing Interstate last fall to use as a commuter bike. It had no radio, and I looked for a good long time for something to install, preferably like the factory Hondaline stuff, which wouldn't leave me with a cluttered up mess in my fairing. With nothing like that available in the way of new products, and watching basically 30 year old Hondaline electronics technology selling on the internet for $150.00 and up, I finally decided, "what have I got to lose, $104.00 including shipping, for something brand new, vs. big bucks for old tech that may not even work". The only debate I had in my own mind was the 100W system vs. the 250W. And when I figured out the 250W doesn't have the remote control, it was a no brainer. Bottom line, I just could not be happier, or more pleased, with what I got out of this deal, for the money invested. The receiver unit mounted perfectly inside the fairing, just like, and in the same place a Hondaline would. Had to drill just two very small holes in the fairing to mount each of the two speakers, and those holes of course are behind the speakers where they can't be seen. Used the mounting brackets that came with the kit as back up plates for the speakers on the inside of the fairing. Pre-drilled holes in those, no muss, no fuss. To begin with, I did have more engine noise than I liked. Thought I might have to install some sort of a filter. My stereophile son suggested shortening up the ground wire in the power supply cord. I did just that, and it pretty much solved the problem. I would bet that if the unit is well grounded to the bike chassis, you wouldn't even need a ground wire. While my bike is certainly not as loud as some, and will remain that way, I would suggest that the 100W system is certainly all you'll ever need on anything out there. 250W through the same speakers would possibly just blow them up, or the sound would be to distorted for it to matter. A speaker upgrade might make the 250W system worth the extra chips, but I wouldn't trade the extra power for the remote control myself. The only suggestion or request I would make in the way of making this system better than what it is, is that it would be nice if the remote control would control each and every function that the controls on the receiver do. That way, if you have the unit stashed somewhere out of the weather, like I do, there would never be a need to get into it. I've rated the unit a 9 out of 10, and if it had that fully functional remote, it would certainly be a 10, from my view. And I hope if that fully functional remote becomes available(the technology has to be there now), I hope the folks at gooddeals18.com will make it available for purchase as an upgrade to this otherwise great system. With all things being said, in this great long litany of mine, I would heartily recommend this system to anyone looking for a radio for their motorcycle, of for anything else they might be inclined to use it on. |

I bought this system after seeing other systems that ranged from $150-400 for what looked like the same thing. The shipping was really fast. I ordered on a Saturday afternoon and had it by Wednesday.
The install was pretty simple. The only problem was that the enclosed brackets require drilling into the handlebars and would not position the speakers where i needed them. I made my own with some plumber hanger strap and two hose clamps. Everything else was very simple and the amp is so small it fits under the seat with no problem.
The sound really surprised me, I have cruised down the interstate at 80mph and in rides with over 400 bikes and the could hear it with no problems. Of course there is not really any bass. Still for the price it is a fantastic buy and have already got buddies looking at adding it to their bikes. |

I ordered this back in July. Best Bang for my buck. I installed it and shared it with my fellow riders on my forum (www.shadowaero750.com). This thing is a beast. I installed it all to my windshield so its easy to connect and remove depending on the weather. The first one I purchased was cooked due to intense rain pour, but the seller was more than happy to replace it. The speakers are infact waterproof, just not the radio or remote. if you can find a container or cover to help with rain in case you caught in it will save your lil investment. Riding without this kit is very dull once you can enjoy your commute listening to the clear crisp FM radio. I ordered the Shark Motorcycle Stereo system from this merchant and to be honest, my expectations were low. After all, most motorcycle stereos cost around $500 and this one was $87. But it was advertised as 100 watts and I figured if the speakers could really handle 100 watts, it would possibly be loud enough to hear. From the picture I couldn't tell if it was cheesy or not, but for the money spent, I was expecting it to be.
The unit came quickly and my first surprise was when I picked up one of the speakers. They were surprisingly heavy. I plugged the speakers into my home stereo and hit the volume and was shocked how well they worked! They are even supposed to be 100% waterproof (although I haven't tested that and don't plan to!)
The next test was to try out the speakers with the radio/amplifier that came with the unit. Again, I was VERY surprised at the quality. Not Bose quality, to be sure, but for a 100 watt amplifier the size of a cigarette pack and a couple small speakers, it exceeded my expectations. Certainly it can be played loud enough to be heard on the interstate at 70 mph. And the FM tuner works pretty well, too. (There is a input jack for an MP3, but I have not tried it yet).
I was able to get everything mounted on my Harley (although the brackets are VERY poorly designed for a bike) and the performance makes riding MUCH more enjoyable. I would definetely recommend this system to anyone who is looking for a low cost stereo system for their motorcycle or other vehicle. For less than $100, you simply cannot beat it.
On the down side, the brackets are not well suited for a bike. The "chrome" speakers are actually chrome paint on plastic housings (and the chrome comes off easily if you put them in your saddlebags and let them rub together. I learned the hard way). But overall, I got more than I expected for the money I spent. Much more.
BTW, I mounted the tuner amplifier on the handlebars and have never even used the "remote". |

This System was a purchase for my New Wheelchair. And its price compared to other systems that can be found on the market such as the UNIQ(474$)is what piqued my Interest being that it was so inexpensive and unlike all the other products on the market , i didnt have to buy it and take it to a paint shop and have it painted black it was available direct in either chrome Or black well i ordered it monday ups delivered it today and even being physicaly disabled due to Muscular Dystrophy this system provided no challenge out of the box i installed it in about 17 minutes (one handed mind you)and it cranks i attached my Zune to it, and digital sound Poured from the small but very dynamic and very adequate speakers mounted on my Powerchair, it has a band pass selector for high and low to get either added bass or treble(did not expect that)easy to mount remote swith and everything worked perfectly out of the box, i live on SSI/SSDI which means i am poor but for the quality features a
nd performance of this package i would gladly pay triple what i paid. I understand now why they would take it back with a smile because we would have to be out of our mind to return this marvel of miniature electronic heaven that got delivered to you by UPS.I have heard the UNIQ system and this one blows it away, i have two of these units mounted on myn chair giving me "front and Rear" control, where else on earth can you get a 200 watt system thats digital friendly for your Ipod /Zune/MP3 thats small enough for a Motorbike or a Speacialty application like mine a Power Wheelchair, have someone you love in a "Power Mobility Device" as medicare calls them you just found the present for bday Christmas or no occasion just because you love them, evryday when they listen to there tunes/audio book they will warmly remember your kindness and thoughtfullness of the incredable gift that they use daily for years to come.
